Hey there, Highly Sensitive Person!
I'm 100% certain you've had this experience before...
Step 1: Set a goal
Step 2: Seek wise advice on how to best achieve said goal
Step 3: Follow advice to the letter, even though it doesn't feel quite right for you
Step 4: Struggle and stress
Step 5: Blame yourself when it doesn't work
Step 6: Go looking for someone else to give you the "best" answer
I have gone through this process SO many times, and I've seen and heard my friends and clients go through it too.
You just want someone to tell you what to do already, and you'd do it!!
The problem is, trying to follow tactics and methods that aren't right for you often results in more stress and frustration.
And it's even more stressful than when you started because now you're doubting your ability to make your goals happen because this was supposed to be the answer.
This is especially true for Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) like you and me who have such high standards and deeply want to do things well.
The good news?
You're not broken or incapable or lazy.
It's not you, it's the strategy.
I'm not saying there aren't some amazing tools and formulas and programs and books out there.
I've learned a lot from my "passive mentors," picking up new ideas and actions from them that I hadn't thought of before.
I bet you have too.
The problem arises when you lean on someone else's wisdom and strategies for success, even when they don't work for you.
So what's the solution?
Finding your own flow means creating your specific and unique strategies to do things.
Even when that means bucking conventional wisdom and making peace with doing things your own way.
I talk about using what's already working for you to create new habits and systems in this week's episode of the Highly Sensitive Club.

On the other side of finding your unique flow, it looks like...
Step 1: Set a goal
Step 2: Tap into your already existing knowledge, experience, courage, and skills to find solutions that work for you in this moment
Step 3: Take action in a way that feels simple and true for you
Step 4: Work through the discomfort of learning new things and stepping outside your comfort zone
Step 5: Achieve your goals
Much better, right?

You already have the foundation and ability to achieve your goals - or you wouldn't have the goal.
Tapping into your unique values, preferences, and skills is the key to moving through obstacles and achieving your vision.
Even when someone tells you otherwise.
Big, warm vibes -
Steph
