When Inaction is the Best Choice

Hi there, Highly Sensitive Person -

Ever have those moment when you hear something like 20 times and then it FINALLY clicks?

I've heard so many times, and in so many different ways, that saying "no" can be super powerful, and stopping bad habits can change your life, etc. etc. etc.

Well, it suddenly occurred to me that saying 'no,' ending unhelpful habits, and not hustling ALL. THE. TIME. are all forms of inaction.

Inaction normally has a negative connotation, that you're procrastinating, avoiding, or stalled (for a few examples).

When we're procrastinating, avoiding, or stalled, we typically make that mean we're lazy, incapable, or confused.

You probably have a ton of thoughts (read: judgements) about inaction in your life.

But what if inaction might mean something completely different sometimes?

What if purposely choosing not to do something were the absolute best decision in that moment?

It turns out...

Inaction can be extremely powerful when you're doing it intentionally.

Imagine you're able to stop beating yourself up and judging yourself for any tiny mistake.

Picture yourself being able to say "no, thanks!" without any guilt, shame, or fear.

Sink into the feeling of getting everything you want done without the hustle and busy-work.

What would it feel like to pause before taking something personally, getting defensive, or assuming someone is upset with you?

When you purposely don't act on something that's not in your best interest, you actually declutter your projects, schedule, and mental energy to create space for the stuff that truly matters to you.

Wanna hear what I'm intentionally stopping right now and the 5 ways this applies to you? Check out this week's episode of the Highly Sensitive Club.

Listen on your favorite podcast app and / or watch on YouTube.

In the episode, you'll learn:

  • 4 ways inaction can be a powerful choice you make to advocate for yourself

  • The big epiphany that had be excited to share this insight with you

  • Real-life examples of clients who are saying 'no' to the B.S. (internally and externally) that was keeping them from saying 'yes' to themselves and their ideal schedule.

It all started with an oracle reading, a mini-reiki session, and diligently writing Morning Pages for several days in a row.

Got you curious yet?
